Emmanuel … God is with us!

This blessing invites us to reach out to others from the richness

of the Christian spiritual tradition through offering opportunities for prayer, personal growth and pastoral formation. 

 

Activities at the center include:

·         Retreats

·         Spiritual Direction

·         Prayer and Reflection Days

·         Special Celebrations

·         Spiritual and Pastoral Formation

 

The Emmanuel Centre, close to Launceston's CBD, is operated under the auspices of the Sisters of St Joseph. It welcomes enquiries from people from the various Christian traditions and other faiths.

 

Facilities at the Centre include:

·         Conference facilities       

·         Prayer rooms            

·         Peaceful garden

·         Labyrinth

·         Accommodation - single, double or twin

·         Resource Library

 

The Emmanuel Centre is dependent upon the financial contributions of those who attend the Centre. Where a set cost has been made, we make every effort to keep it as low as possible. It is our policy that no one be excluded from any of our activities due to cost. We are happy to accept an affordable donation.

Come and join us for a meal and conversation where Anne Foal will be our guest speaker.  Anne will share with us something of her journey and experience as a cancer survivor. This is a topic that touches many of us and is close to the hearts of us all.  Sharing our stories is one way of supporting and strengthening each other.  Hope to see you there!

Eight Day Retreat

 

Come for the whole eight days or for a shorter period of not less than 3 days. The Retreat offers the opportunity for days of silence, evening liturgy, and daily individual Spiritual Direction. The Retreat begins with a light meal at 6pm on 16 Jan. & concludes on the morning of 25 Jan.
