OUR MISSION AT EMMANUEL

Emmanuel…."God with us"!

This blessing invites us to reach out to others from the richness of the Christian spiritual tradition through offering opportunities for
prayer, personal growth and pastoral formation. 

In desiring to respond to the ‘signs of the times’ we hope to be 
a community that is responding to the Spirit in the challenges and joys of our world.

Emmanuel Centre is located in the beautiful city of Launceston, Tasmania, Australia and is close to the City. 

A haven in the market place, the centre operates under the auspices of the Sisters of St. Joseph. 

It was established in 1987 and continues to offer:

         Retreats - group & private

         Spiritual Direction - individual or group

         Pastoral Supervision

         Prayer and Reflection Days

         Special Celebrations

         Spiritual and Pastoral Formation

The Emmanuel Centre is ecumenical in outreach. All are welcome to find a personal space for themselves, either alone or in one of the programmes provided.

Emmanuel Centre Staff

The Community Team members at Emmanuel for 2011 are Jenny Scally rsj, Margaret Cousins ssj, Carmel Drew rsj (Ministry Coordinator), Dot Beer and Tina Ritchie (Office Assistants), Trish Dance ssj (Community Coordinator), Kerryal Willis and Ed van Galen (Admin. Coordinator). The ministry is supported by a number of fantastic lay and religious volunteers.
